Happy (Not so) Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to the BEST DADDY EVER!!!

Poor Corey got the shaft this Fathers Day...

I had stayed up late working on girls camp stuff and then wasn't feeling the best in the morning, so Corey got up with the kids (which the first is up around 5:30 and all are up by 7:00) and made breakfast for himself and the kids. We did let him have a morning nap, but then it is the hustle and bustle to get to church. After church (and counting tithing) he got to make dinner as I continued to pack and get ready for camp. We then together got the house cleaned up so that he started the week on his own with three with a house that he could keep up with, and not have to dig out of. And can you believe not one complaint all day... he just kept asking what I need help with so that I would be ready in the morning. WOW WHAT A MAN!!! *** So in our home we decided to reschedule Fathers Day for June 29th, so that we can give Corey a day for him. ***

But since it is fathers day let me tell you about the father of my beautiful kids. Corey really is the BeST, he loves his little ones so much. Daddy is "THe MaN" around here, he is always the one that the kids want. They cry and fuss each morning when they sleep in and miss seeing him before work and each afternoon after naps the usual question in how much longer until dad gets home. (Every 10-20 mins from 3:00 on.) They then run as soon as the garage door opens... even Dallin gets in on the action, just a little slower. From then on everything revolves around dad and what he is doing. Corey always is willing even after a hard day to get down and play on their level. He is especially great in being so compliant with having two girls... they love to comb and cut his hair (pretend cut, that is) and play princess games with their prince charming. And then there is Dallin that is starting to join in with Ella in the rough and tumble stage that Corey is just eating up. He is soooo good with all of them and we are so blessed to have him in our home as a Dad and husband.

We love you Corey!!

P.S. ~~ Happy Fathers Day to Dad Dehmel and Dad Hanks. We love you lots and are so thankful for the dads that you were to us as kids, and the dads (and grandpas) that you are now. We wouldn't be who we are without you. Thanks, Corey and Annaleesa.
