Test results are in

Corey's biopsy results came back yesterday. The Cancer showed positive in 4 of the 5 lympth nodes tested. The official diagnosis of it is...Stage III papillary/follicular Cancer of the Thyroid. The treatment route for him is to have a total removal of the thyroid, (did that already) and then to follow up with a radioactive iodine treatment. Which in tales a 2wk specialized restricted diet and then 10 days of isolation. Three to six months later they will test the lympth nodes again and decide if we have to repeat the treatment or if he is good for another six months. This all has certainly caught us off guard. I'm sorry that it is pretty much just fact and no feeling, but the feelings are still a little raw and personal.
